How do I get my phone settings to send and recieve Picture Messages (MMS) and surf the internet (3G) from my mobile phone?
To get your mobile settings please click the link on the right hand side of this page. You must know your mobile number, and the make and model of your handset. Enter your mobile number along with your mobile brand and model, then automatically you will receive all the settings by sms, save these messages and then you will be able to use our services! If you need further support please call renna mobile customer care for free by dialling 1240 on your handset.
Which documents do I need to have with me when I buy my renna SIM card?
When you go to buy your renna SIM card, please remember to bring a (valid and original) form of ID with you: for Omani nationals we accept either a National ID card, or a Passport, or an Omani Driving License; for expatriates we accept either the Resident Card (same as Labour Card), or a Passport, or an Omani Driving License; for GCC nationals, we also accept the GCC National ID.
How can I recharge my account?

When will renna offer a banking SMS service?
We are working to set up SMS banking with our customers. We will send all our customers an SMS to notify you when these services become available.
What is the Preferred Number service? How can I change them?
Renna gives its customers free of charge 25% off all calls to 3 national AND 3 international numbers of your choice, so that you can stay in touch for less with friends and family in Oman or around the world. If you want to choose your Preferred International Numbers and haven’t already done so, or if you wish to change the Preferred International Numbers you have previously selected, simply call Customer Care on 1240. When you enter your Preferred International Numbers in the renna Voice System, you have to enter the full international number starting with 00, just as you would dial it. You must include all digits. Please note, the system does not accept "+" signs, so you must enter "00" before the international country code. The system will repeat your input and you have to confirm it before any input or changes become active. And at any time you can also check which numbers you have selected. Please note that you may only change the configuration of your Preferred International Numbers free of charge once every 3 months, and in one single call, so don’t hang up before you have fully changed the configuration and checked that you have entered all the numbers correctly. To register your preferred national numbers you must call the renna customer care on 1240 and select option 5 to speak to one of our Customer Care Team who can enter or change the numbers for you, or you can also go into one of our renna shops and we will be happy to assist you. A small charge may apply.
How can I change my price plan?
You can simply call 1240 and select option 5 to speak to one of our Customer Care Team. They will inform you about the available price plans and do the necessary changes for you. When changing your price plan through a Customer Care Team, a small charge will apply.
You can also go into one of our renna shops and we will be happy to assist you.
How do I check the credit balance on my phone?
The easiest way to check your current balance status is by pressing *188# on your mobile phone and then pressing the Call key. This service is free of charge. You can also dial 1240 from your renna mobile phone and select option 1
Can I switch off the message about my remaining balance at the end of each call?
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority obliges us to send you a message about your remaining balance at the end of each call and we are not allowed to deactivate it for you. This information message is free of charge for you and allows you to closely monitor your account balance.
How do I set up roaming?
Roaming is automatically activated for you and you do not need to do anything but jump on a flight and go to another country. You can use your renna SIM card in the following countries:
• Bahrain (Batelco)
• Belgium (Belgacom Proximus and Movistar)
• Egypt (Etisalat Misr)
• Kuwait (NMT Wattanya and MTC Vodafone)
• Qatar (Q-Tel)
• Saudi Arabia (Etihad Etisalat and STC Saudi Telecom)
• Spain (Airtel Vodafone)
• Tunisia (Tunicell Tunisie Telecom)
• UAE United Arab Emirates (Etisalat)
• UK United Kingdom (Hutchison 3G)
We will soon be adding other countries to our list of roaming destinations, and we will send all our customers an SMS to notify you when these services become available.
Please note that you cannot send SMS during roaming, but we will be making this service available very soon. Receiving SMS is possible, and free of charge
When will renna offer voicemail/ answer machine service?
Most customers tell us that they don’t see a voicemail/ answer machine service as a priority for them, and for that reason we don’t have any immediate plans to offer this service. If this situation changes we will send all our customers an SMS to notify you when these services become available.
How can I change my language for the renna Voice System?
Simply call 1240 and select option 4. You can choose between Arabic, English and Hindi, and we may add further languages at a later stage. The changes will become active instantly, and you will hear all announcements in the new language from this moment onwards. If you call Customer Care by selecting option 5 on the renna Voice System, you will be greeted in the new language as well. For Arabic speaking customers we will send out all notifications in Arabic. For English and Hindi speaking customers we will send out all notifications in English
What are the available data bundles? (volume and Cost)
We have 3 data bundles available:
1. OMR 9.5 bundle with 1GB free for 1 month
2. OMR 4 bundle with 400MB free for 14 days
3. OMR 1 for Pay-as-you-Go bundle and get 10Bz per MB for 1 month
What is the highest data bundle available? (volume and Cost)
We have OMR 9.5 with 1GB free for 1 month as the highest data bundle
What is the validity of these data bundles?

How and where I can buy the data modem and these data bundles?
The Modems with the data bundles can be bought from Renna Mobile HQ shop at Azaibah.
Why Renna data bundles are better than OM/Nawras/Friendi?
We have better value for money, as each additional MB cost is only 10Bz, which is much cost effective than the other operators.
How I can subscribe to or activate these data bundles?
There are 2 ways to subscribe/to activate the Data bundles, either by sending the requested data bundle key word to the 90882 S.C, or by calling the call center if you are already Renna mobile customer, in both cases you need to have enough balance in your account.
Can I use Renna SIM/Data bundle on any other data modems?
Yes of course, Renna Mobile SIM and Data bundle can work on your any existing Data Modem, you will only need to call the call center to provide you with our 3G access point, which is “renna-internet”.
Can I use Rena data bundle on both Computer and Phone?
Yes of course, any data bundle you choose to purchase will work for both your smart phone or through your data modem attached to your laptop/PC.
Can I use the data bundle credit for other services such as Voice/SMS/MMS?
Once you subscribe to a data bundle your balance will be only dedicated for the subscribed data bundle.
How will I know if my subscription is reaching to an end or ended?
Renna keeps a close contact with its customers, you will receive notification messages when your data subscription reaches to 90% and another notification when your data subscription is ended.
Can I use these data bundles while I am out of Oman?
You will be only able to use your purchased data bundles within Oman.
What is the speed of the USB modem?
Your purchased Renna Mobile Data Modem supports up to 3.6 Mbps and supports all the mobile networks.
What is the network coverage?
Our network coverage is similar to Oman Mobile 3G network coverage.
What is the speed to use mobile Broadband with renna?
Our data speeds are identical to Oman Mobile 3G network coverage.
How much will I be charged if I do not renew my data package after the subscription expiry of data package?
Default rate of 0.5 baisa/kb (Half a Bisa) or 512 baisa/mb would be applicable after the data bundle subscription is expired.

What is renna triple play?
With renna triple play, you can now receive, free minutes with every national call spent above 3 minutes (for 30 days). you will not receive free minutes if you only make a call for 3 minutes, the call will have to be made for over 3 minutes in order for you to accumulate free minutes. For example, if you make a national call for 5 minutes, you will then recieve 2 minutes for free, If you make a national call for 9 minutes, you will then recieve 3 minutes free. In addition to that,you will also receive 30 Free messages continuously for 30 days with every 30 national messages sent/spent. And as for Data, you will receive 300 MB Free with every subscription right away.
Can I automatically subscribe to renna triple play if I have already subscribed to the renna data bundle?
You will have to subscribe to this service separately. Simple send TP3 to 90882 S.C, however if you have currently subscribed to renna data bundles, then the free given data volumes has to be exhausted before subscribing to renna triple play.
What is the promotional period for this offer?
The Offer is valid for 3 months starting from the 6th of July up to and including the 5th of October 2011.
